Browns Overhaul Front Office

CLEVELAND, O.H. - General Manager Dan Hong wasted no time reorganizing the Browns front office, firing head coach Les McDaniel and luring head coach Jesse McGrew away from Detroit with a lucrative $6.38mm, 5-year contract.

The biggest surprise, however, was former Seattle offensive coordinator Jack Forbes, who turned down a head coach offer from the Giants in order to join the Browns as the new offensive coordinator for substantially less money than the Giants were offering him.

Forbes explained his rationale. "The Browns are a younger team, and I felt that my talents would be better used in Cleveland than in New York. Plus I have a feeling that the Browns are going to surprise a lot of people over the next few years, and I want to be there when they do."
